Easter is fast approaching, and very soon Peterborough Lions Club would normally have giant Thornton’s Easter Eggs popping up around Peterborough – a vital fundraiser for us and a chance for you to get your paws on some lovely chocolate.
But 2021 isn’t a normal year! Last year our eggs hit the pubs only a few days before they were forced to close. This year there’s little prospect of pubs opening before Easter, so we’re bringing the eggs to you online instead!
We have as many eggs to give away as we have people to buy tickets to win them. For each one there are 75 slots at £1/each, and you can have as many as you like. They will be allocated randomly (although if you tell us in your order comments what numbers you prefer we’ll do our best), and when all 75 slots are full the winners will be announced and we’ll start on the next egg!
Prizes will be delivered directly to you by Thorntons. (Please specify the appropriate delivery address when you order!)
Each completed sheet raises approximately £55 for our welfare projects, including our current President’s Project in support of Peterborough Rape Crisis Care Group. So whilst every slot gives you a 1-in-75 chance of winning a giant egg, each £1 also gets you a 100% chance of helping us to do important work in a difficult year.
